Update: 1/12/2012

KCL Fusion has started off the year with a BANG!!!

After weeks of rehearsals, the troupe headed off to Royal Holloway to take part in their dance competition ‘Get Down @ RHUL’ entering in the Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Hiphop categories.

Nerves were high as it was the first competition and Royal Holloway’s largest turnout so far. Other universities that competed were University of Bath,  Imperial College London, Kingston University, London School of Economics, Queen Mary, University of London, University of Sussex, University College London, University of Warwick, University of Westminster as well as Royal Holloway. The judges were Caramel Soldier – Top UK House Dancer and Tapper, Lizzie Gough – Fresh off the ‘Some Like it Hip Hop’ stage and Judge for UDO World/ British Streetdance Championships, and Hugo Cortes – trained professional dancer and danced in the movie Street Dance 3D as well as currently appearing the West End Musical Stomp.

The standard was high but KCL Fusion did brilliantly and were awarded 2nd place in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Hiphop!! Contemporary did well too with good comments from the judges.

Congratulations everyone!
