In just a few months, we will be presenting our annual and hotly-anticipated show at Greenwood Theatre: This is 20! between 20-22nd March. It’s time to dust those dance shoes off and apply those fake tans!
This year, we will be hosting 28 fantastic pieces demonstrating all the styles and abilities that our society has to offer, from House to Reggaeton, Ballet to Tap, we would love for you to join us in our production as we celebrate 20 years of our amazing society!
The week will honestly be the highlight of your university year! With three shows followed by three amazing after parties, what is not to love?
Auditions for our pieces will take place in the week commencing 14th January, and the timetable is posted below!
For successful auditionees:
1) Dancers MUST have current KCL Dance Soc membership, and this can be purchased through the KCLSU Website: https://www.kclsu.org/organisation/Dance/. If you are a current student, you will be required to have the £20 standard membership. For alumni/students at other universities or staff, you will need to purchase Associate membership! If you are an alumni wanting to exclusively dance in the alumni piece only, keep your eyes peeled as we will be releasing a FREE membership for you guys later on in the month!
2) Dancers can only be in a maximum of 10 dances, Associate members can only be in a maximum of 6 dances.
3) You must be available for rehearsals every week at the same times as your audition, and for the whole week 16-22nd March for technical and dress rehearsals in the afternoons and evenings. This will be worked around your university schedule (don’t worry :)).
4) You cannot be in consecutive acts in the show.
